Dr. Colton is a native of California and received his undergraduate degree from the University of California at Davis with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science. He graduated from Oklahoma State University, College of Veterinary Medicine in 1990 with a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine and was awarded membership in Phi Zeta the Honor society of Veterinary Medicine. While he enjoys all aspects of small animal practice, his focus is surgery and treatment of orthopedic diseases. Together with his partner, Dr. Taylor Douglas, Dr. Colton continues to make cutting edge treatment his priority in providing high quality, personalized care in a friendly, caring, and comfortable environment. Dr. Colton was also the attending veterinarian at the High Desert Museum from 2014 to 2016.
David is a lifelong outdoor enthusiast, enjoying backpacking, fly fishing, skiing and spending time with his wife, Sylvia and their three dogs.
