Dr. Amy Rewick was born and raised in Bend. Her first job, at the age of 15, was at Central Oregon Animal Hospital, as a veterinary assistant. The job was supposed to fund a trip to Costa Rica but ended up establishing her career path. After completing high school at Mountainview, she attended Linfield College in McMinnville, OR. She attended veterinary school at Ohio State University, graduating in 2005. Then, she completed a small animal surgical, emergency, and internal medicine internship at the Veterinary Specialists of Rochester in Rochester, NY. After completing the internship she moved to Denver, CO, where she lived and practiced for 7 years. Dr. Rewick has always wanted to return to Central Oregon and COAH, and was pleased to accept the associate veterinarian position in July 2013. Her professional interests include dentistry, surgery, emergency medicine and wellness care.
In her spare time, Dr. Rewick enjoys hiking, kayaking, skiing, and any activities that involve her husband and two dogs. She also is a competitive ballroom dancer and loves spending time with her family and friends.
